Discover Scuba Diving

Discover Scuba Diving Experience

Have you ever wondered what it's like to breathe underwater?
If you want to learn but are not ready to embark on a certification course, Discover Scuba Diving will let you try scuba diving to see if you like it.
Although not a true scuba certification, during the Discover Scuba Diving experience you will learn how to use scuba equipment in shallow water and get a quick and easy introduction to what it takes to explore the underwater world.

Fun Episode

Nothing like breathing underwater for the first time. It takes some getting used to – after all, humans weren't designed to do that – but after a few moments of bewilderment, most participants realize how easy scuba diving really is. The biggest challenge instructors face in the Discover Scuba Diving program is not getting the participants into the water, but getting them out when the program is over. The fun part? It's all fun!

Also, you can get a loan! If your Discover Scuba Diving program includes true scuba diving in open water, your experience can count towards Scuba Diver or Open Water Diver certification, putting you one step ahead of the game when you decide to go.

What did you learn
You learn the basics you need to dive under the direct supervision of a Professional. One thing you'll learn is that you can actually breathe underwater, and whether you like it or not.
You will be:
Find out what it feels like to wear scuba gear and how easy it is to move underwater while wearing it.
Find out what it's like to breathe underwater and find out if you can feel comfortable there.
Learn some basic skills and safety rules that will continue your full scuba certification course when you take the next step.

The Scuba Rig you use
All the equipment you will need is typically included with the Discover Scuba Diving experience. You'll use all the basic scuba gear including a mask, snorkel and flippers, a buoyancy compensating jacket that also carries your scuba tank, a scuba regulator for breathing, and instrumentation to monitor depth and air supply. You will also wear a scuba diving suit and a weight system.
Ask any staff at the dive center about the scuba equipment you will use in the Discover Scuba Diving program.
